Note that it's on a proprietary product and they are getting free PR out of it - I've seen several news articles talking out it. Taking advantage of a situation to build the brand awareness. Oh, and they don't have to discount the books/movies/games you buy once you acquire your reduced price Kindle.

ReplyDeleteIn fact, they don't have to generate profit - they reinvest anything/everything - so they can do what they want, at their pleasure.
