Turf wars so to speak. <BR/> Situation is similar in what you just described now. A better analogy is Homeland Security---each of the special 3 letter agencies has their own responsibility but they report to and are coordinated by DHS. <BR/><BR/>For a company, person would receive key data, and coordinate the different depts(maybe including other areas as mentioned above), but "rules" would only be issued where there is an overlap of duties. <BR/><BR/>BTW, you really hit home. I was dealing with both the .com division of a major retailer thee weeks ago and the buyer for the dept we sell to, and neither knew of the other's sales promotions. We were trying to coordinate inventory for the buyer---the .com's general promotion held a week before the dept's, weren't in the buyer's projections.
