It wasn't all that long ago that digital cameras supplanted film. I remember getting film developed, having Kodak put 45kb digital scans of my snaps on a 3.5" disk ... this was probably just a decade ago.
And now, digital cameras are being put out to pasture by smart phones, according to the LA Times.
Catalogers aren't the only ones being transformed. Anything that touches the internet gets transformed. Increasingly, things that touch mobile are transformed as well. Our strategy of bolting the future to the past seems to work less well with each passing year.

I for one do not want this to happen. This will lose job's for a lot of people,& make product's which people just bought,or want to buy be obsolete.This mean's everyone who know's this information will stop buying everything electronic including myself,& put the economy in an even worse downward spiral.
ReplyDeleteThe public have a right to know when thing's like this are happening,& should get a far bigger warning to when their favorite product's will change,so they don't waste their hard earned money on something that will be obsolete.
